It seems extremely odd for a man to propose to two different women. A man named Will Eaton in Indiana pulled out two rings and proposed to both his fiancé and her sister. He proposed to his love, Ashley, during an annual family photo shoot, but he first asked her 15-year-old sister, Hannah, to be his “Best Friend Forever.”
The story is truly heartwarming. His fiancé’s younger sister has Down syndrome and diabetes. Ashley said her sister has always been a huge part of her life. Although Ashley’s parents are currently Hannah’s legal guardians, Ashely is the next in line to take on the responsibility. She told Will early on in their relationship that she and Hannah were a package deal. The sisters spend tons of time together, and Hannah plans always to have this tight bond.
Ashley explained how enthusiastic and responsive Will was to her requests, “Will went above and beyond, always including Hannah in our dates. We went to all the Minion movies, parks, theme parks, and we’ve all become best friends over the past seven years (he even bought US a German Shepherd puppy!). He is the best thing to have ever come into our lives, and I’m so lucky to be calling him my husband soon.”
Will took the advice to heart. Hannah is included throughout the entire wedding. He gave Hannah her very own ring and plans to share “best friend vows” with her at his and Ashley’s wedding. At the wedding reception, they plan to have a first dance to the song “Best Friend” by Harry Nilsson. To add more inclusivity to the wedding plans, Hannah will also wear a white dress and have the title “Best Sister.”
The photographers for the proposal shoot, Bret and Brandie Photography of Evansville, Indi., shared the photos on Facebook and raved about the magical day. “Ashley’s fiancé, Will, is one of the most amazing men with a heart of pure gold! When it was time to propose Ashley, he also asked her little sister, Hannah, if she’d be his best friend forever. This proposal session was one of the most tear-filled and happiest days of our career! We are so excited for their wedding this fall and can’t wait to capture all of these special moments! We love you three oh so much!”
The touching story has received well over 300,000 views on Facebook and tons of shares. The happy couple plan to have their wedding in the fall on Oct. 7.
