There are few things more adorable in this world than baby animals. Kittens are so sweet; even baby rodents can be cute, but puppies are a favorite among most people where videos and pictures of their adorableness can be found all over the internet. Their sweet little faces and awkwardness as they grow into their bodies can instantly bring a smile to your face. It has become increasingly popular for pet owners to set up social media accounts for their pets for the world to like, comment on, and share. Last March one puppy owner took her pups’ cuteness and social media presence to the next level.
Emily Abril is the owner of two adorable little dogs, Sebastian, a French bulldog, and Luna, a Pomeranian. Since Emily is a former portrait photographer, she wanted to do something fun with her pups that could also potentially benefit other dogs as well. She always describes them as an old married couple, so she decided they should get engaged. Sebastian popped the question to Miss Luna, and the planning began! Their first step? Having an adorable engagement shoot. The backdrop of this too cute engagement shoot was Washington D.C.
The two were dressed to the nines for their shoot which is equally adorable and elegant. Sebastian showcased several different outfits in different shades of light pink, light green, and gray. He even sported a bow tie. Luna wore an adorable pink shirt with a sparkly collar and a velvet dress with a tutu that would make any fashionista green with envy. The backdrop of Washington D.C. for the photos also adds to the overall cuteness and elegance. You can see cherry trees blooming and pink balloons with lights in the background of the pictures.
Abril was asked if it was love at first sight for the pups. She said no. Luna came into the home a month before Sebastian and ruled the house. When Sebastian made his debut, I can only imagine those first few days were pretty rough. Eventually, they started to get along, and they now balance each other out.
The couple was engaged last June and are hoping for a Fall or Spring wedding. The pictures from that wedding will probably be better than most human weddings! I can only imagine the dress will be stunning. Abril wants to set up a wedding registry and use the funds to benefit an animal welfare organization.
Sebastian and Luna have their own Instagram account if you want to keep up with the couple. It depicts both their shenanigans at home and out on the town. They’ve been invited to movie premieres, go out for coffee, and even enjoyed the solar eclipse. They host puppy happy hours to raise money for the Humane Rescue Alliance.
